Huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Raiders at the Boosters Crab Feed on Saturday. It was a great night and a big success because of this amazing community.
We are so grateful for your continued support of our athletic and academic programs. Raider pride is strong! 💚💛

Please join us in welcoming the newest furry Raiders to the family at Burney Jr. Sr. High School 💚💛
Resident goats Flopsy and Fern each gave birth this week, bringing six babies into the world. While one of Flopsy’s kids sadly did not make it, the others are healthy and doing well. Farm life brings both joy and heartbreak, and our students experienced both in a very real way.
A special Raider shoutout goes to Macie O’Neill, who assisted Flopsy during a midnight labor alongside BHS volunteer Jane. Macie stepped in with calm and confidence. We truly believe Macie is a future veterinarian in the making, her dream since she was four years old.
The very next day, out in the rain, Wyatt Howard and Macie assisted Fern as she delivered her babies. Both students are part of our Agriscience class led by Mrs. Rose, and they did an amazing job stepping up while their teacher was out of town.
This is hands on learning at its best. Responsibility. Teamwork. Grit. Care for living things. We are so proud of these Raiders for showing up when it mattered most.
Welcome to the world, little Raiders 🐐

We are so incredibly proud of these three amazing Raiders 💚💛
Robbie Madden, Destiny Newman, and Josey Peckham spoke last week at the club level of the 89th Annual Lions Student Speaker Contest on the topic “Youth Mental Health: Overcoming Barriers to Well-being.” It takes courage to stand up and speak on something so personal and important, and they represented our school with thoughtfulness and heart.
A big congratulations to Robbie Madden for earning 1st place and advancing to the zone level in March! We can’t wait to cheer him on in the next round. 👏
Pictured with our students is Lions Club representative George Chapman. We are truly grateful to the Lions Club for creating opportunities like this that give our students a platform to use their voices and grow as leaders.

🎉 Celebrating Academic Excellence 🎉
Last Friday, we celebrated our students who earned Honor Roll with a 3.0 GPA and above, Straight A’s, and Perfect Attendance at our Academic Awards Assembly. Over half of our students earned a spot on the Honor Roll, which says so much about the hard work and commitment happening every day on our campus.
Following the assembly, students were invited to a pizza and ice cream party to celebrate their achievements. A huge thank you to the Burney Boosters for making this celebration possible.
The Boosters do more than support our athletic programs. They also invest in student academics and help us celebrate success in the classroom.
We are so proud of our students. Go Raiders! 💚💛
